SORRY!! I've been pretty negligent with my blog once again because...errr...I'm putting everything on FB and forgetting about this one..
yes...the truth comes out!
BUT
Christmas was a huuuuge success!!
Joe was not going to spend christmas with us but he went ahead and surprised us on christmas eve by showing up and saying he got the day off!
super surprised! and Jason was overjoyed!!
Christmas couldn't have been better..
YAY! :)
anyways, so far everything's been settling back down to, er, normal, should I say? no more christmas hustle. just good ol' starting the year by taking it easy.
Although, my birthday IS coming up next month so I have joe on birthday alert. aka. planning ahead, getting good ideas together, saving money..ETC. heh. yes. I'm a brat like that!
this year is going to be another crazy one! god knows how much longer we'll be living here and Jason is going to go to school in September..and I'm going to start working next week! ACK! all so soon and i feel as though I don't have time to catch up!
people are asking me when another one is coming along and I tell them, NOT YET! but in my head I start to ask myself that one. because I do want one or two more. so that's another "plan" we have to think about later one as well.
sometimes accidents are just THAT much easier.

I wanted to congratulate myself and Joe on our new baby!
it's a Honda Civic (good car for what we can afford) and is beaautiful. I love it! beats the old Neon Chrysler any day of the week!
the neon finally broke down and so we came across this baby for 5k. now we're smooth sailing and dare I say, nit-picky with eveeerything about it. the interior is light so the rule is no more food in the car. Joe's babying it good. we're gonna take good care of this one I tell ya!

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....

This Christmas is going to be pretty different and a little sad because Joe is going to be working from the 23 straight till the 27th because he's the "bottom of the barrel" when it comes to his job, so while all the other senior techs are getting holidays, he's working is ass off in the friggin cold.
ahem..
all to say, it's just not happening that he can get a day off.
so as much as I am a stubborn wife, he's told me to go up to my parents anyways and spend christmas with them for the sake of Jason getting his christmas.
and we can't change our cmas dinner because my grandparents are already coming up and can't change their plans, etc,. etc,.
a whole bunch of crazyness, but that's the basic idea.
It'll be pretty sad, being that I've never spent a cmas away from Joe ever since a few years into our relationship!! so that's saying something..perhaps...5 years?
sniff...
aaanyways..
I won't ramble on too much about this since I've already done that and Joe wants to hear none of it!
Im just hoping time will go quickly and I can see him again.
he'll be off work for the 28th and 29th..
then holy heck, it's 2012!!
unbelievable..
but ALL THAT TO SAY!
that's the joys of having a son. you can't be with one guy, you can always resort to the other one! hehehe. so I'll never be short a man. ever.

Me and Joe have just recently noticed that whenever Joe would come home in the evening, Jason would make it hard for him and always say things like, "no I want to read with mommy." or "I give mommy love. not you" or, "daddy you're mean. I want mommy."
and Joe's been feeling really hurt. and we've been trying to figure it out, cus when Joe is home, he's always focusing on Jason and really putting good quality time into him.
anyways,
so just today I realized just what it is. Because when we woke up this morning, Jason asked as usual, where daddy was. And I told him that "daddy is working today." but instead of shrugging it off and getting on with his day, he started saying, "Not again. Daddy always working. He come home in the afternoon, when it is sun." and I told him, "no buddy, daddy will come home when it gets dark. after we have dinner." and he got really upset with me and almost cried.
so I went on trying to comfort him and tell him Daddy will be home soon to play, etc,. etc,.
anyways, so tonight Joe comes home and as usual, I get my free time while he gets Jason ready for bed and reads storytime. And Jason starts to say the same things like, "I don't like you daddy." "I want mommy to read me story" etc,. and Joe is starting to really freak out, like, why does my son not like me???
But I already started getting the idea from this morning so me and Joe started to talk to Jason and try to figure out what was going on. And Jason ran over to the bed and covered his face and started to act all distant and weird on Joe.
He was starting to get all emotional and odd on us so I told Joe it was probably because he missed him when he was gone at work and didn't like that he came home so late--because Jason really did looove hanging out with him. So joe started to ask questions and get the little bugger's thoughts to roam free. and Jason started to get teary eye and say things like, "I don't like you going to work." "You gunna go tomorrow. I sad" stuff like that..
so we realized Jason's just trying to deal with his little emotions. he misses his dad and doesn't like it when Joe is gone. so the only way he figures will work, is to be angry with Joe when he comes home.
not the best way to work things out there little buddy, but it's a good start to communicating and learning to deal with his emotions physically and mentally in a big boy way.
it's weird to see Jason acting so grown up. it shocks me sometimes to see how much he understands and how much he can be so grown up at times. almost crazy!
We just need to keep our communications clear and constant, make sure to always talk about things and dig deep into that little brain of his, cus it's running wild and growing so darn fast!! and Joe's gunna make sure to spend extra EXTRA quality time with him, so we'll see where this goes.
I'm telling you, age 3 in a kid's year, amazing...
they change so drastically. insane!

Jason is really changing fast. I've noticed in the last maybe, 2 weeks? He's been talking WAY more, and more intellectually too. He's milder and hardly ever throws fits. And he understands logic, so me and Joe don't have to sit there arguing with him for what, hours? it's really cool to see him change like this. as if he's turning from a wee little toddler into an actual grown kid. I LOVE IT! it's too cute :) and so much fun! so you think you're baby is so much fun now? holy heck, just wait a few years and it'll just get better! YAY

on another note..little Hailey is finally getting old enough to play with Jason. there's two sides to it. they either clash with each other cus of their own opinions. or they get along juuust fine and dandy; playing together and keeping each other company.

it's nice. I'm glad Jason is able to grow up with another kid:)

I'm not racist.

I believe we are all equally entitled to being given afair benefit of the doubt. Black, white, Asian, Spanish, Indian--whatever. AndI usually don't judge one country or one race of people just by one person.

but all that to say, at this very moment I am seriouslydisgusted by the Chinese people. How they can live so immorally and selfishly.I know the situation and how the government is run is corrupting and causingthe actions of the desperate--but does that still justify the inhumanlythoughts and actions that come about? Has society and humanity become socorrupt that we cannot differentiate the right from the wrong? Have we becomeso numb to the horrors and “bad” this world has to offer that when it comes toourselves, we can’t even convince our own friggin selves that we can be betterthan that and we can fight for our own goddamn humanity?

It’s the things that people these days are stooping tothat scare me. Giving up of their own sanity and self-respect and throwing itout the window without a care in the world.

How can someone feel justified and humanly correct byraping a woman, or torturing a child? How about murdering, stealing—and JesusChrist, even the assholes who walk by and do NOTHING to help or be of aid? Theyare messed up, I tell you. And it sickens me and upsets me to know that I sharethe same world with people like that.

Especially children! I am a mother and I cannot even dareto imagine harming my child—much less ANY child. If you’re hungry, poor, upset—whateverthe case, don’t bring it out on an innocent child. They deserve to experiencechildhood, to grow up and see hope in this world. Not to be caged like ananimal and tortured ruthlessly. It pisses me off to no extent! There’s a lot ofpeople out there that I hope one day—and preferably sooner rather than later—getwhat’s coming to them before they can create another horror story for me toread.

This world? Seriously f****d up. No lies.

Jason is turning out to have so much attitude, it's almost crazy. A few months ago we thought he was strong and independent? Puhlease! Three is just the beginning! Lol

Joe loves it though. He's like, "I have so much fun having conversations with him because he's like a little man! I can have long debates with him and try and reason with him when it comes to certain problems." Which is pretty much true...heh.

Though he's going through this stage where if u correct him and he's offended, he'll say, "Fine, I'm going now." and crawl in his bed and mope. ><

Or I'll tell him he can't do something right now and he'll give me this angry look and say, "Oh my god!" super exaggerated.

Some pretty crazy stuff going on here, parenting to a three year old. But it's interesting to see what works and how to help him grow from it. so what the heck! hey, in nine or ten years from now, I'm going to have to deal with tween drama and rebellion. that oughta be fun..

this is boo with his hectic colorful ice-cream he chose himself for being a big boy and finishing his first Kumon Book of Tracing. YAY

I'm trying to be a bit more creative when it comes to his schooling. so an indoor tree seemed like a pretty good idea at the time:) He named it "Mr. Tree"

So Jason picked out his own costume this year. he was pretty set on being spider man when mommy wanted him to be bob the builder. hahaha

his choice was a winner:)

me and jason traveled up to my parents for Halloween since joe was working so we wouldn't have been able to go out. But pooch was sick all day on Halloween, with a tummy bug. rested all day and kept worrying and asking me, "After one more nap, I feel better and I go trick or treat?"

AWW. soooo happy that he felt MUCH better...miraculously..haha funny how candy can give the sickest kids a invisible extra boost.

I was so happy cus he had been sooo excited about wearing his costume for halloween WEEKS before the day. I had to stop him many times from putting on his costume and running around in it. heh

anyways, he had so much fun and got so much candy...

Jason's birthday pics pt. 1

sooooo, just a short vid of my LOVE at wonderland for his birthday!
about one week before his birthday, we had his "birthday party" with the cake and ice cream and presents, up at my parents where he could be with all his uncles and aunts. and omg, don't think I've ever seen so many toy construction vehicles wrapped for one little boy my LIFE. he had a super blast!
then on his birthday, the 24th, we woke up early, had a little breakfast at Mcdonalds, and then spent the whole day at wonderland. he loved it like CRAZY! sooo much for little guys to do, i was shocked. I didn't think the little bugger would take a nap with all the excitement and noise, but around his nap time, he faithfully closed his little eyes and slept for about an hour and a half:) so joe went happy with all the older rides during that time.
we all had so much fun! it's amazing how crazyily excited and happy one can be only by watching their little butterball have the time of their lives!! It was definitely a highlight for me :)
so now my boo is 3 years old!! holy crap...

below is photos from our little family outing to the theatre to watch CARS2!! definitely a sugarcoated highlight for this little man's YEAR!! haha he enjoyed it to the max. and made friends with a whoole bunch of other hyper little boys that sat in front of him! my boo is such a outgoing friendly kind! lol

took Jason to my parent's by train, bus, subway and a whole lot of walking!! it was his first time on ALL of those things, (even the walking!! I didn't bring the stroller so he managed to walk basically most of the time we were running from here to there) and he was thee most amazing little man ever!! very proud of his backpack and "traveling" big boy style!! never made a fuss and made mommy verrry proud!! best traveling buddy EVER!!

summer's been filled with maany visits to my parent's place. country fairs, WildWaterKingdom, first circus ever, A TON of picnics and splashpad days, beaches, playdates and more!! it's been pretty crazy but that's my kind of idea for a kid's idea of a perfect summer :)

nothing gets him head over heels more than seeing and being able to actually get close to tractors and fire engines and anything else construction vehicle related! he's a pretty crazy for trucks kinda kid!!!!

he's a crazy kid with enough energy to fill the entire world and beyond that!! he's EXTREMely foolish!! and has this new thing where when u ask him a question he goes, "Um, tsk, something like, tsk...." I do not know where he gets that from!!! lol he also has his "theme song" music that he makes whenever he's doing something "super cool" or just playing with his coolest cars and trucks in the world! :D
totally potty trained!! from the moment he wakes up, through his naps, and till he closes his little eyes at night. the night training will come muuch later! heh
it's all about the park! he makes friends no matter how old they are, and every time there is absolutely NO forgetting to bring his collection of outside trucks he's allowed to play with in the sand and dirt. kids crowd around him all the time, wanting to play and he is such a good little man and says, "yeah ok, you can be the bulldozer!"
he loooves books!! but it has to be concerning some sort of truck or train. and his recently most favorite thing is looking forward to daddy's "truck story telling time" before he goes to bed. tonight Joe wasn't home by his bedtime so he called Jason and told him the story over the phone. Jason was reeeally happy :)

My life is one crazy ride being a mom to a little BOY!! (boys and girls...BIG DIFFERENCE! trust me..I live with a little girl and there is no comparing...) I've gotta be tougher, more energetic and wild. ready to hang upside down and stand on my head just to make my little guy happy! but hey, its what I am and who I always will be! I'm loving every day of it and can't ever wish otherwise!

I know, it's been SOOO long! I just find FB so convenient!! Everyone's there, and it's so easy to just post and upload photos! But I WILL NOT quit.

Anyways, I just wanted to post this little mushy love poem to my little man, cus he's just sleeping soo peacefully in his bed all by himself..and he looks SO CUTE! and it makes my heart mush! :)

I was getting all wrapped up in our adooorable neices' 1st birthdays!! And it made me remember how close it is to Jason's 3rd!! (dont mean to steal the thunder girls!) It's crazy how only ONE year can seem to really change a child from something to another. From small, to big!! from helpless to independent! Well, er, not too independent! --yet-- but so very darn close. YIKES.

But it's not them only changing and growing but its us, the parents, as well. I've learned so much from motherhood. From my son!

Sometimes I tell Joe how I'm scared, scared to let Jason go. To let him grow up. He'll only get more independent and I just want him to stay small and squishy and helpless so I can cuddle him and smooch his little cheeks and tell him he's the squishiest bug in the world!! To hold his hand, kiss his ouchies away, watch him smile as one little winne the pooh bandaid stops the pain.

One day he'll push me away and tell me I'm just embarassing him! LOL

I know there's still YEARS ahead, but time will never stop. it will never rewind. It'll only keep going forward.

And we'll only keep growing.

I always seem to get this way around his birthdays! lmao! my poor baby is just so happy and proud to be growing up! And don't get me wrong, I couldn't be more proud and happy to watch him!

He's the love of my life, and I'll always feel so sentimental before birthdays..

so my adorable babyman just one day decided he wanted to wear "big boy pants, like daddy!" and wore them the WHOLE day, even through nap, and shopping for one hour driving around, DRY and putting everything special in the potty!! KYAAA! my life actually went happier than happiest. it's been many long....longg...looongg months and years of trying to train him..
and one day he decideds to do it ALL by himself.
I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!
I started training him at 6 months old...by 1 1/2 he learned to put poo in the potty..and by 2 1/2 he learns to pee in the potty too, and not in his pants.
YAY
today is the second day and boooy, this may be too good to be true!
not yet sure if its just a little thing that'll go away in a few days, or if it'll actually be from now till he turns old and goes back to diapers.. (good lord...I should NOT be thinking about that..holy cow..) but either way, I am thee most proudest mommy in the WHOLE WORLD. yes, better believe it.
every mom knows this moment in their life..

So Jason has a sinus problem. which he has had for the past month now, and when he goes to bed and wakes up it really bugs him, so he just cries and cries...because there's really not too much we can do about it:( took him to the doctor, but he told us just to keep an eye on it, give him two baths every other day..and hope for the best!
it runs in my family so...damn..
anyways, please pray for him. and for us! cus going to bed and waking up to "MY NOSE" and screaming bloody hell ain't the greatest thing for a busy dad who's gone 7 days a week, and well..heh, a mom who spends her 7 days a week....trying to be crative and...fun? LOL

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

these bums have no significant meaning, I'm just in the kitchen right now so the hardrive is in the room..which means I have no photos to post today! :(
but if you really must know...the one in the pink to the far right is ME ><

so life has been pretty good here. Joe's in his second week of training for Bell. It's a one month training course, which the company pays for. so basically we're living one month with NO income..
well he gets Ikea jobs on the weekend. which brings in 100 bucks per day. so that's good. not to mention the CTB and other little goodies we saved up:)
but it's been good. I've been home every single day with my childman, and although it's a toughy, I'm managing!! its every day to the park with his bag full of backhoes and diggers! I squeeze my workouts in by jump roping or sprinting while he plays outside. then during his naps I'll get in the rest. OORR tan:) hurrah the sun is finally making things warm around these parts and this makes me VERY happy:)
of course there's an annoying nextdoor neighbor dog that likes to bark and disturb my peace. I still havent been able to convince it that I'm friendly and LIVE here...one day..
anyways, that's pretty much IT! our lives right now..heehee. Joe is an AMAZING husband and daddy. working so hard with so much effort and determination, I admire and love him so much for it! >< he really is superdad and I can't wait till I can get out there and work too, so I can give him a break here and there! he deserves that!
it's Easter next week and me and Jason are super excited! we've been looking forward to that week the WHOLE month, since daddy doesn't work for those four days!! eeek! and we're going up as a family to visit my parent's for a couple days. Jason will be so happy to see everyone:D

ok Jason is pestering me to pay some attention and my potatoes JUST might burn..and we can't have that because Joe is supposed to come home to a good loving warm meal.. ehe

hadyooo!!!

quick update on our little life..

Joe's other "job" didnt turn out to be such a worthy one, so he dumped that one and got a basic manual labor job. which, when it comes down to the basic necessities, will get us by juuust fine! so it's like a HUGE burden and worry has been lifted. Thank the LORD:)
now I can go shop for groceries and not worry too much about money shrinking but not growing back.
GWT will be on hold for now. maybe if we have good income, I'll try it. but never for a serious job or anything..
I'm intent on getting into a dance school!! I just wanna dance...and yes I'm not satisfied with shower bootay shaking and kitchen clean up dance with the broom anymore. hahaha
hope I find good one!! maybe you'll see me on so you think you can dance...oooor maybe even dancing with the stars! haha
gunna end short. Jason is overtired and the girls wanna watch Australia..WHICH might I add in, is an absolutely ADORED fave if mine. something about this Hugh Jackman just has me glued..

so we're alive! and we're here in Toronto, happy, healthy, and slowly adjusting to the new life :)
for the first two days at the end of the day Jason would say things like, "Ok, time to get in the car and drive home" and "let's go home now mommy" and "where's my buddies??" and it would be soo sad when I would have to tell him, "Jason, remember before when mommy told you we were moving to a new house? well this is our house now, you're buddies won't be here everyday" and he'd cry and make me wanna cry. AWW. and then talking with my dad on skype, he'd ask Jason where his uncles and aunts were and Jason would say, "on the bus!" meaning, he hadnt seen them yet so he thought they were still out at school. AWWWWW
but now he's good and adjusted. we go out all the time to the park and for walks around the neighborhood. he has a big playroom with the other little girl, so that's a nice play to keep him while I make dinner.
Joe has a job!! got an interview yesterday and is in today for training. not sure on the details except that he's gunna be someone who gets called in to ppls houses to test their water and show them new gadgets etc., and see if they wanna buy it.
sorta like a salesman. but without the going out door to door and bugging ppl! heh
so he went from a dirty roofer to a clean "salesman" with good looking clothes! haha he's loving it. once he gets past the training, he'll be making 20 an hour and for anything he sells, he gets commission from that. so it's a pretty good paying job.
fingers crossed! pleas pray for him

as for me, I'm actually thinking about becoming a member in a network marketing industry for diamonds and gold.

pretty interesting. and Im still learning about it so there's not gunna be much explanation. haha. but basically I buy in to the company. and invest in jewlery. I get others to buy or become members, I get a commission off that and that money goes towards my jewlery. I can either buy or invest.
theres a lot of different addons to this but I am soo new I probably would sound like an idiot trying to explain. so the sight should do enough for now.
it seems pretty legit and a couple of my friends are doing it and saving a lot of time and money, so i figured, being at home with Jason, would be a pretty good way of earning some extra cash.

last minute thoughts

last night with all my siblings living in ONE house. it's gunna be weird not having them around everyday. I know i'm looking forward to the move and to start a new life on our own, but I've always been the clingy type of sister. kinda like in little women, where Jo says, "we're sisters, we're always supposed to be together. Not marry and go off on our own!"
heh!!
I know, I can go on and on about everything wonderful, and how I'm looking forward to this new exciting life! but it's just that stage, where everything you know you'll miss suddenly jumps in your face! whew.I just am starting to feel like we're actually moving..and its weird for me because I've never lived anywhere but my parent's place!
the biggest worry for me is that Jason won't adjust to this change easily. He's got all his "buddies" he can play with and now its gunna be a quiet house with no kids except for a little girl. i hope he is able to understand and have fun in the new place and lifestyle!! I know he'll miss everyone.
but change is good!
so I'll sign off with a happy thought. Watched The Beautician and the Beast, tonight and AWWWWWWWWW.....cutest movie ever. I remember watching it with Lixy a Looong time ago. brought back some good memories:)

soooooooooo the news is that me and joe have decided we are going to start saving up from now on, to make a trip to Japan in the summer next year!!
SOOO...that does mean we expect certain ladies to join in on the plans here! nudge nudge.

Me and joe were chosen, along with a few other couples, to get on stage for Valentine`s day and participate in some game competitions. WE WON!! just because we`re that good...ooohh yeaaaa! hahaha. scored two bottles of RUM!! it sure does pay to volunteer to be a monkey sometimes!

TADAIMA!!

just a quickie to let ya'll know we're back from the 30 degree land of beauty to the -10 dg land of snow!! lol
everything went smooth and SAFE. Joe had a little trouble getting home from cuba because they had found out he was "american". but with all the thunder and lightning of prayers I had been doing, they let him by with NO problem. (aka. taking him away from the airport, going through his stuff and confiscating whatever they felt like taking...etc,.)
ALL is good and we are well!! TIRED but well. our traveling started from 6 pm to 6 am. we've been sleeping all day and still our eyes are begging us to stay closed. yawn. so this will be the only photo for now
I'M SO HAPPY to be back with Jason. he's grown so much in only ONE week! holy cow man... his sentances are more sharp and full. gosh..you wink time shrinks! or whatever or however..you get the point!

I`m gunna miss Jason SOO much!! last night me and joe took him out to Tim Hortons for a little night snack, and talked to him about us being gone for one week, and he understood and said he`d be with grandma and his buddies (aka, uncles and aunts)

Getting really hyped and to the point when 3 days seem like 3 years!
Saturday is fiiiinally my long awaited 21! :D and with that we celebrate on a plane and partying it up in bikini and swim shorts! CAN'T WAIT!!!
Trying to think of something reeeally romantic to do with/for Joe in Cuba for Valentine's day, but so far...no good!
I'll think of something...even if it's a romantica stroll on the beach and cocktails in the sunset...???

of the recent plans, me and and Joe are packing and preparing to move to Toronto in early March:) it's going to be a big change for us and for my parent's here, with the restaurant! but it'll be good for all of us; and as much as I feel a bit worried for them, everyone has to sometime in their life move on and start their own. so, I'm hoping everything will turn out great for everyone! I'll be trying to score a part-time job maybe in the evenings as a waitress somewhere, soooo!! wish me luck! hoping to join a gym and speed up my studies on fitness so I can take the course and get certified!! woohoo! excited and hating that I'm not there yet! but so far I've been able to "train" one of my friends, and give advice to some others. so I'm getting some experience and feeling good about it!! :D future goal is to start or get involved in a fitness for mother's club, and go bigger than just the gym! the future is always bright!
gunna try and get Jason involved in a preschool or daycare centre for a few days a week, just so he can be around other kids his age and interact with them.
let's see...
me and joe are talking about getting the hirasawas to agree to planning a get-together sometime within the next two years maybe??
we promise to come to japan!!

Well he talks like a mother-of-a-gun! haha! Always has something to say and something to sing about! He can sing the whole alphabet, down to the "now I know my abcs, next time won't you sing withe me!" part. ehem.
He can count to ten, he knows his colors and one million names for everything!! Potty training is rewarding me! Blessed little ball of flum has now decided he's too big to ever go poo in his diaper again, and has not been seen with one in his pants for more than a month now! (whew...is it almost time for no more wiping bums either?! aaahh..if only..)
He still loves trains and cars and will play with them all day if he could.
Painting is his new love! and every paper with even a spot of love, must be put on the fridge with a special little magnent.
Is faithful to say "excuse me" whenever he farts, burps, or cuts people off.
Is turning into a total rascal and independent little boy...but what can I say, what's new when it comes to him being Joe's son..

the Shoji's came for three weeks and it's been SOOO good having them! one year apart has been a crazy long time. since, from the very beginning, it always used to be us living like 10 minutes away and seeing them every day. every night has been a midnight or past that time nights...so we are all tired and ready to go back to normal sleep schedule..though it will be really sad without them! (the shojis')
we've all been hit with major colds since the first of this month. we're finally starting to see results in recovery, so that would be a goooood thing i guess?! yes??
halloween is coming up..I'm reaaally excited! it's gunna be fun!!

so Jason has a thing with food. he'll wake up and the first thing he'll say to me is "hungry! yummy!" over and over again until I get up, put him on the potty, and give him something to eat. (yes, cha drags herself out of bed...yawn!)
everything is food. if he's talking to his cars, he says "Hungry McQueen". if he's talking to his trains he'll tell me Thomas is hungry. he'll bring his trains to me and tell me they are hungry and want food. everything is really just about food these days. although the kid doesn't eat as much as it might seem..
food is just something that is ALWAYS on his mind.

two years ago today, I was tired and in much pain but in the most happy mood I'd ever been in forever. my little skinny newborn was teeny and sleeping sooo peacefully, I wished I had the legs of an iron horse to stand by his little crib all night.
I had waited 9 months and some, to finally be a mother and finally he chose to pop out one week late.
it was the best day of my life, and the end of an old one and beginning of a new one. a better one.
you changed my life Jason. from head to toe, and toe to head. it's a rough ride and hard sometimes but just being you, who you are, makes those times worth it all. Life is better with you. I love you to the moon and back!! and then some more!
you're mommy's little man and I'll always remember the day when you first came into my life. Thanks for being in it still. these two years with you have been a thrilling ride, and I'm not ever going to wanna get off.

but ever since I borrowed a train set with the whole train mat, and everything. he's been playing with that, and only that. from morning to night! its insane. so I knw what we're getting for his gift..lol

he's such a big boy. the things he does, the things he says. he'll sing all his favorite songs. like "old macdonald" "wheels on the bus" "twinkle little star" "hokey pokey" "abc" and more

it's sooo cute. the other day he fell asleep singing to himself. AW my heart!! my HEART!!

it's me again! the slacker!! whoopwhoop!!
I can't say it's because I never get on the comp...because...that would be a lie...??

it has been busy though. took a trip to toronto last weekend with joe while mum and paps watched Jason! so we went down and saw some friends, clubbed, and had a relaxing day shopping, eating sushi, and watching "there's something about mary" all cuddled up in blankets! *big smile* was fun and might I dare say...nice, relaxing, fun, to be on our "own" for two days to just do whatever.
we missed him tons tho!! came home and cuddled the life out of him!
..well...I did at least.
My grandpa's big 80th birthday is coming up this weekend! cousins and aunts and uncles are going to be coming up too! so it'll be a fun big Wallace smash!! what to get a special somebody on their 80th?!
as far as baking goes, I'm still confused too!!

my little one year old man

my little boy is almost two! he'll be a little grown boy in no time! well he already is one, but he'll be speaking full blown conversations and all that big boy stuff!
I never thought and could imagine myself to be a mom to a kid older than 4. but now, when I talk with him and communicate and do all sorts of interactive things with him, it makes me just wanna speed up to 5-6! it's AmAzing how much fun you can have with your kid. and I love how he's such a little boy! when he plays with his cars (the favorite thing in the WHOLE world) all by himself on the floor in our room, making little "brrrrooom!!" sounds, it melts my heart to gazillion pieces! he's the biggest charmer in my life, and the cutest fat thing I'll ever squish! (for now eh??) and I know he's becoming a big boy, and one day he won't need or want mommy to cuddle him or smooch him all over, or hold him and read him stories and make funny sounds to make him laugh. but to me he'll always be that fat little chubby boy with the cutest little smile that's worth more than a million dollars!
so before he grows up too fast, I'm gunna enjoy those moments when he's just a little guy who loves to be squished and cuddled.
I have NO idea why I'm getting all emotional over the fact that he's turning two. maybe it's because all my mommy friends tell me that once they turn two, they never turn back. so I'm hoping to hold on to his little one year oldness until the very last second!!
..then of course, two is another exciting age to begin a new stage:)

we took jason to the zoo for his first time ever!!

and even though it was a pretty small one and not too many animals to see, it was FREE (always a winner) and had a huuuge playground and splashpad for the kids to play in.

not the mention, the 2 dollar train ride. (the ONLY thing that cost but was nonetheless cheap and worth it!)

he loved it!

and the pictures pretty much speak for themselves.

the camel had thee most limp and soggy humps I have ever seen in my entire zoo life!! I joked around with joe and told him it was because he wasn't getting enough water. DUH. haha turns out, some camels are born with it..it's passed on by their relatives. poor darling.

I had NO idea that polar bears were THAT huge! the lady said that it was an average height and there are taller ones out there! so much for cute and cuddly white bears...eeehhayy

close to the biggest highlight of his day! dadum!! the Backhoe! Jason absolutely LOVES those things above all other construction/farmyard machines! (and that's saying somethen) we finally managed to find one sitting alone at the top of the hill and decided it was now that Jas was going to have his first seat on one of them things!

thank you to Aunty Meg who brought this over for him!! he loves the faces and colors and best of all, it holds FOOD (which is something he cannot live without for more than one hour)

our friend's invited us for a BBQ at their place last week and they had the cutest little puppies! I suppose I should actually update this here blog of mine!
ack it's been ages since I've touched this site, it's amazing since I used to be a huge blogging nerd and now I am, yes, I admit, a FB one. (runs and hides)
but it's so much easier to update and keep in touch! but I knoooow, ppl are scaring me now too about it and maybe I will be one of those quiters;)
until then!!
I've been good! busy, lots of sun, growing little boy, life going up and down and much much more! I'm pretty sure you're all pretty much updated on my little life, so I'm most likely boring you if I keep going on.
I'll sum you up with,
lots, LOTS of sun, Jason's talking so much now (not understandable full sentences, but gosh it's soooo darn close) I dyed my hair BLACK! because I gave up trying to make it a pretty brown! lol
Joe still roofs, I work in the restaurant three days out of the week. 2ice to cook, 1nc to waitress. Aaaaaand..Totti's hot, but Italy pretty much sucks. I was really disappointed in them this year and refuse to love them until they make it up;) Japan is shocking me and making me proud! and I dunno what all this fuss is about, but Honda is not the new stud in town MIKA! (ahem)
and I'm sure there's more to say but I'm falling asleep at this computer so I better sign off with bunches of kisses and one big hug!!

It's been one whole year since we've arrived here in Canada! it seems like so short and yet soooo long ago since we've left Japan!! one year ago, we were crying our eyeballs out, red noses, and freeezing our butts off in cold tatami rooms with the wonderful Luvhutians!
It's been a craaazy ride, but worth every minute and step of it! I only hope and pray that I can make the next year ahead of me, even better. will we be in Canada a whole year from now?? I have NO idea, but all I know is that it will be exciting:)
all to say..
one year in the boonies here in Canada, and we've met wonderful people, made beautiful new friends and experienced the amazing seasons Canada has to offer us!! God Is Good

today was my day to go into the restaurant in the afternoon and cook/wait with Lixy and Chris. was a slow day, but good nonetheless. it's fun, and might I say, somewhat relaxing, to get away from the daily schedule and...I love him to one million pieces, but yes, my little man at times. sorta get some time away and try something new. no changing diapers, potties, clothes, flash cards, etc,. for a few hours. it's nice sometimes..
but I miss him, I do!
I called home to talk to Elena, and she put Jason on the phone. he was jabbering away and said "mama" a few times. AWW!! after I got off the phone I realized how much I missed my little guy, and couldn't wait to get home:)

I was just going through my old stuff and happened to come across my pregnancy diary. And I read this one part that I had listed all the things I couldn't stand during my first three months of pregnancy.
Just thought it'd be fun to post it here for you. it's always interesting to know what other mom's went through right?
anyways..

"Daikan-everytime I go on walks, the neighborhood people just always seem to like cooking that stuff and it stinks!
Cup noodle- I have NO idea why but the smell and thoughts of eating it just makes me sick
Onigiris-maybe because I ate TONS during the first few weeks after finding out I was pg..? maybe got sick of them..
Toilet spray- rotten watermellon!!
Onions and garlic-it's not so much the smell of them being cooked, but the smell that comes out of people's mouths after it's eaten! (ok on this one, I hated the smell of onions throughout the WHOLE pregnancy. Poor joe couldn't eat any through the whole nine months. And finally when I was back to normal, he was verrry much in heaven!)
My own cologne or deodorant
The smell of dirty clothes, dirty hair, stuffy rooms-can't stand a second of any of them!
Smell of heaters
Smell of deep-fried oil. (on this one, once someone was frying french fries, and like always, you can smell it everywhere in the house. but to me it was soooooo bad. I wanted to go pee majorly, but couldn't even walk downstairs because the smell was too strong, so the boys, bless their hearts, had to go down and spray some sweet smelling freshner..like a ton! of it, and even then I had to hold my breath a bit. good lord..)

that's pretty much it! haha hope you've been entertained. I sure gave myself a laugh. fun to remember those odd days..

my jubejube is growing so fast.
once upon a time he was one month, now he's 17 months. wow..
he's the biggest cuddle bug in the WORLD. he likes food, especially noodles. he's verrry foolish and goofy. he loves balls. any sort of ball, any round shaped thing. he looves hockey and dancing to "Be Our Guest". he's still a bit fumbly on the feeding himself, but he's getting there. he can say a few words like "ball" "kockey" (hockey), "cwock" (clock), "mama" "dada" "gama" gampa" "napal" (apple) "cook" (cookie) "up" "there" "nana" (we call elena, Nana, when talking with Jason) and a few other little mumbles.
lots of other things, but I guess we'll leave it with this for now.
I can't wait till I can have a full blown conversation with him!! that'll be the day! and I can't wait for his two aunts to have their babies so Jason can be fully equipped with cousins!! hurrah!!

I can't say things have been too busy, but they are picking up with the home.
with the restaurant "opening" up soon, different people are usually gone during the day and come back in the evening.
it's different...

for the past few weeks me and joe have been taking Jason to "playgroup" on Wednesday and Friday. A little place where moms and kids and sometimes dads, get together to talk and have their kids play with other kids etc,. there's story time and song time and lots of toys for them to play with. Jason absolutely LOVES it.
both Jason and I are down with colds right now. As I type , Jason sleeps, and has been sleeping for the past three hours. he really needs it. again, please pray for him!
I'm studying for my driver's license, even though I am not sure when I'll find the courage to take it.
aaaaaaand..
I realized I never really wrote about my birthday, which was ABSOLUTELY grand in every way possible!
Thanks to my wonderful family and DH, the night before my birthday Joe took me out without telling me where or what we were going to do. We stopped for dinner at Montana's then jumped to the theater to watch "Dear John". it wasn't super duper, but a nice little drama/romance and was nice and relaxing. (I THINK, the first time me and joe went to the theater with just the two of us) then when I thought we were about done and ready to go home, Joe takes us to this little hotel.
ACK.
shocker.
but definitely a really wonderful, relaxing time. it was the first time we spent the night away from Jason, and even though I missed and worried about him, I managed to have an awesome time.
thanks to my wonderful family, I had an awesome 20th. I love YOU!

last night we played beer pom, and me and Leila just whooped the guys' butts.

I wish...
today was all you can eat sushi and other good ol' Japanese foods. I ate so much when I got back home, my stomach actually felt terrible, I had to sleep for a while. but it was worth it! I haven't had Japanese food in SO long. Udon, Teriyaki, tempura...heaven...literally heaven!
came home, and played "the battle of sexes". got whooped again by the guys. WHY!? do men know THAT much more about women than us about them? hmm..that was a shocker. but then again, I guess it's easier for a guy to know about make-up and nail polish than a girl would know cars and football!
it was fun tho!
ready to crash and head out to the biggest Asian mall in northern America, tomorrow!

Today was Cherylyn's 17th birthday!!
...and sadly, her grandfather's passing...
It seems as though it's completely true when we say that the gives, and He takes away.
Cherylyn made it through to another new year in her life, and her grandfather closed his.
I feel so sorry for her, and yet so proud. She took it very well, and kept smiling, laughing, and entertaining us with her bubbly jokes, and gosh get this, her super duper delicious birthday cake that she had made herself.
All to say, Cherylyn...you're an amazing person. I'm so glad to have met you and have you as a friend in my life. You're always so positive and beautiful inside and out. I know how hard it might be for you right now, since I have been there.. But know that even though life is tough right now, and it seems to be off to a crazy new year, it'll all turn out, and you'll get all your birthday wishes you wished as you blew out your candles. (lighter. tee hee) I love you, and I am praying for you!!

Baby Jesus

I just love the story of baby Jesus being born.
something about it makes me feel so...wonderful inside.
the whole thought of Mary going through the whole pregnancy, knowing that she was carrying God's Son inside? And giving birth and finally holding the tiny Son of God?
I've been through pregnancy, I've been through the whole giving birth to a baby. I know what it's like. It's wonderful, it's tough, but it's amazing. during pregnancy you have a complete connection with your unborn baby, that no one else can have. and when you finally hear your baby cry, after hours of labor, your heart melts, jumps, and just goes crazy. when you finally, after waiting for nine long months, hold your tiny newborn in your arms and throw all care out the window that you are exhausted and weak.
I know what it's like.
And just to imagine, what it would have been like for Mary, is soooo beautiful. It must have been ten times better than giving birth to an ordinary child. Just knowing that the Son of GOD is crying for her. she gets to cuddle him, kiss him, sing him to sleep. do all those things every mother does for her child. it's just amazing to me..she must have really felt....beyond honored.
it's just such a warming thought. seeing the amazing, powerful Jesus coming down to earth in such an innocent, perfect, tiny, helpless little form of a baby..and Mary having the blessing, honor, privilege to be his mother, and Joseph his father..what that must have felt like for them...
I love it so much...

night time note

just finished our GP party!! it was a complete success, and we had lots of fun. I love these Christmas parties the best, because it's always so relaxed, happy, and full of happy faces and good food. Yes, I was going to get to that.
the good food.
We made food for an army, thinking so many people would come. but afew ended up not coming, and so there were plenty of leftovers. but can't complain!! yummy munchies tomorrow>< GB mommy and lixy who worked hard! we had a show this morning and then rushed back to clean the house and cook. they were busy, and I was sharing in the kitchen mess with my cake and goodies too:) I'll post photos all in all, it was a dandy wandy good time and I am completely stuffed!! Jason was on sugar high for quite some time and I had to let him run around in his diaper for about 20 mins before his bath, just so he could tire himself out and get rid of any extra energy that was boiling up inside his tiny human form! :) now he's crashed like a light? or out like a light..whatever. he's just OUT. so I'm gunna get in bed before the sun comes up and I find his little hands hitting my face for me to get out of bed. love U's!

There's something about this little play of words that I found the other day, that makes me feel all warm and happy inside. It makes me really feel the Christmas spirit. Christmas is supposed to feel this way. Happy, loved, warm, at peace. The world is supposed to stop, stop for one moment of their busy lives...and share the awesome joy with each other. Stop the darn wars, stop the darn fighting. Stop the darn everything hateful and terrible in this world. And just...love. Just celebrate. Honor the awesome Man who gave this world something to live for. Just appreciate the good and revel in it...

today me and joe took the kids to the nearby park to do some sledding.
got alllll bundled up and piled into the car. whooopie!

it was SOOOO cold, we couldn't bare it any longer. so we started running back to the car. yes. running. as you can see, my photos are sorta blurry. because I was running and ended up taking like, 20 pics...hahah these were the best I could get from the rest of the blurred mess:)
all in all, less than 15 minute sledding...
and to think the weather is only going to get colder..
brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

ended the day with some caroling. Me, Lixy, Chris, Annie, and Dad went out and braved the outrageously cold Canadian night, and sang until our hearts were warm and our toes were frozen. it was a wonderful night though, met so many sweet people.

My mind's been on so many things recently, that when Joe casually told me it was ten days left until the 25th, I almost jumped out of my shoes. (yes I was wearing shoes. we were shopping in Belleville today from 11 am. to 6 pm)
ten days!? I thought. once again checking my little calendar notebook. no waaaaays! I actually couldn't believe it because for some strange reason, it felt as though Christmas was just beginning. and I don't know why or how. but it just did feel that way.
so anyways, I looked at my blog and it didn't look too christmassy.
well don't bundle yourself up for a big, awesome, super smart idea I've come up with. because sadly, I so have not got the brains for that. much less the time, since I not only care for my adorable, yet extremely hyper on-the-go son, but also my hubby who had a nasty slice on his finger while roofing, and received 10 stitches from it. (please pray!) so I'm changing his clothes for him and showering him. (NAAAAHAHA....do I wish??... it's not true tho><) so I decided to at leeeeast post something about Christmas, every day, right smack here on this blog, every day until the 25th. It's not big, its not coolieo. but it's something that'll make my blog feel more like christmas, love, and of course, thoughts of the Big Man up there. so peace everyone!! I really hope you're Christmas is already been super duper woooper special. that you've been digging into those christmas classics, hot cocos, and cookies! I'm ready to fall peacefully asleep with two handsome boys, white snow surrounding our house, christmas lights shining on both our trees, and dreams of fuzzy, warm stuff!! oyasumi!! on another little note, I thought I might add here that Jess and Rumi had their wedding on the 14th, and even though I only saw about....3 or 4 pictures, to me, it looked like it was just simply awesome! Rumi....that gorgeous woman..looked like a true princess!! I loved her dress pick, and veil, and..gosh, everything!! she was a picture of pure perfection. You DON'T know how many tears I've wanted to shed for not being there, and you can even ask Joe and he'll tell you that his ears were probably deafened by the screams, whimpers, and "OMG I WANTED TO GO!! baaaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaahaaaaaa." stuff coming from my mouth. yes. anyways. Congratulations guys, I know you're future will be awesome together. xoxoxoxox

I've failed to keep my blog updated consistently these past few days. OOPPSSS!
it's actually almost 1 am right now, so my eyes won't do much good on me very soon, but just for life to my blog sake, I will add that...
my REASON for being up soo late is that me and big sis, Lixy pixie, have started reading romance novels together. tonight was the first night of many reading novels, painting nails, scrap booking, plucking, hair straightening, etc,. (Lainy, you are SOO missing out)
so now that I've got handsome, buff men and gorgeous feisty ladies running through my head, I'll bid you all goooooooooodnight!!

Joe had Taijustu in Toronto today, so I woke up with him at 7 in the morning and got ready to make the long 2 & 1/2 trip.
when we finally got there, we barged into the house and jumped on Leila and Mike's bed to wake them up. Kee hee, haha, no...we didn't do that..but they did greet us with happy tired faces:)
I had lots of fun talking about babies, pregnancy, driving, husbands, and all sorts of things. thanks for having us, guys!! Lots of love and kisses, especially to the poochiest baby girl, Jodie!
